Jacksonville amateur photographer wins Audubon Magazine contest (Florida Times-Union)
Carol Graham Fryer has taken photos of dandelions in Europe, whales bubble-
netting for fish in Alaska, the skyline in Shanghai and a golden eagle in
Switzerland.
But the photo that won the budding amateur photographer the $12,383 grand
prize in Audubon Magazine’s 2011 Photography Awards was taken in her lush
Hidden Hills Country Club backyard in Jacksonville.
Her backyard and its centerpiece oak tree overlook a golf course pond and
attract water birds of all sorts.
