Recommend a good indoor lighting kit?
I am looking at between £100 and £200. Second hand would be fine with me.
The lights are for photography and lighting indoor scenes for shooting video.
I made my own softboxes for a project but they didn’t turn out so well.
I have a canon 7D with lots of lenses and half a dozen tripods.
All I need now is light.
Alien Bees are going to be beyond your budget. I suggest a speedlight or two plus radio triggers (YN560 flashes are about £40 each, a set of RF602 triggers about £18). You’d need a couple of stands – £24 for a pair on eBay, and a 24″ speedlight softbox will set you back about £40.
You may want to read the Strobist blog if you haven’t already…

Edit: flash wouldn’t be any good for video of course, you’d need continuous hot lights for that (which are not as useful for stills, as you then can’t vary the flash/ambient mix).
You can get good results with small portable speedlights – here is a swim shoot I did with 2x YN560′s and a set of RF602 radio triggers;
