Help with a photography portfolio?
I’m applying for a photography (FDA) course at a university and I am required to compile together a portfolio of my work. Me being accepted will depend a lot on this as i have took a 2 year gap in education.
problem is I have no idea on how to go about it. I asked what sort of things I need and was told I need about 20 prints and a workbook to show how i progressed from here to there ect. Do I get an art pad for that? How exactly do I start?
Like deciding a project, how did I get to that point say if i chose shadow’s or something
I have advanced photoshop skills and I know I need to try show that.
Either way some advice would be reallyhelp fulll as i have never doneexperiencedd anything like this before. Thanks
You put together your best work. Not too many–but about a handful that you think will impress them. This means in perfect focus/composed/exposure and hopefully are of interesting subjects.
p.s. Photoshop skills are not going to make you a better photographer by the way. That’s for graphic artist.
