Photography Portfolio Ideas?
Im starting college in September and to get into my photography course I need to create a portfolio of 6-12 photos on one select theme.However, I have no idea what to do for a theme. Its meant to be used so I can show that I have some ability/passion for photography. Could I have some ideas please? I literally cannot think of anything
The best advice I ever got on this exact question was to look through my own photos and see what theme jumps out at me. It’s amazing, but you probably favor one type of photo over another, or all of your best work is of one type. The first time I did that, I found tons of great portraits from family gatherings. A few years later I had a portrait photography business!
It’s best not to try for a new theme that you’ve never photographed before, stick with what you’ve already been working on, and what you know you can do well. Best of luck with your portfolio!
