What type of lens do I need to take high speed photos? Do I need special equipment?
I want to be able to take pictures like this:

The lens is not the issue. These pictures are done with a high speed strobe light with the set-up done in the dark, the camera shutter open and the flash triggered by various devices to “pop” at the precise moment. The web site you linked to is trying to sell you some books that will tell you just how to do it!
